The purpose of our "Children's Ministry" is to provide a nurturing environment where children experience, celebrate, and learn to share God's love as they grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Children participate in ministry as STAR SEEKERS. Through opportunities during Kid's Super Church on Sunday mornings, mid-week events, and Funtastic Family gatherings, youngsters from birth to 5th grade experience the five purposes of our ministry. Star Seekers will learn to evangelize and invite friends to learn of Jesus. They will fellowship with others in a church family. They will also be given the opportunity to grow and mature through discipleship and service in ministry as they develop a true attitude of worship toward God.
Kids Super Church is the main event at Highland United Methodist Church on Sunday mornings. Children are given the opportunity to experience age-appropriate worship through drama, puppetry, games and activities, music and praise singing, Bible stories, and object lessons that interpret the life application of Bible truths. Pre-school and nursery care rooms are also structured for an age-appropriate, Christ-centered experience. The entire morning is staffed with and led by trained and caring individuals.
